Event Description

Generative AI and other foundational technologies are transforming products and services, changing company positioning and affecting society – – with notable opportunities and challenges. We hope you will attend this event by UCLA Anderson's Easton Center Faculty Director, Terry Kramer who will describe the notable developments here, important areas of research, fascinating use cases and implications for leadership as well as an update on activities at the Easton Center to advance the understanding and engagement on these transformational issues.

Design thinking has transformed the way we develop better products, services, and processes, by pulling together what’s desirable with what is technologically feasible and economically viable. Yet, it has been largely overlooked to address one of the most ambiguous issues that we face currently: training our teenagers and equipping them with resources to wayfind career paths that are aligned with their unique interests and strengths. With an emphasis on learning through action and refining ideas based on meaningful feedback from diverse sources, this method is particularly effective for tackling the ambiguous task of crafting one's career because it empowers individuals to start from where they are and progress from there.

This talk will briefly highlight how one may apply design principles to one's life and start building a future that aligns with their values, interests, and goals. In the midst of an overwhelming list of choices, design thinking can offer a roadmap into unveiling one’s unique interests and passions and broadening their horizons before making decisions about the future.
