Southeast Asia Admit Buddy Program
Every first-year student admitted from Southeast Asia is assigned a second-year buddy to ensure a smooth transition to campus life at UCLA Anderson. Each buddy is open and available to answer any questions regarding the professional, social and cultural aspects of the Anderson student experience while building a sense of community between all Southeast Asian students.
Southeast Asian Cultural Food Treks
Every month, trips are organized to visit a cultural site that represents a particular Southeast Asian country in the incredible melting pot that is Los Angeles. In addition, a restaurant that showcases that country’s cuisine is chosen, allowing students to enjoy a delicious meal together and learn more about that region’s culture through food.
Dinner for Eight (D48s)
Members are given the valuable opportunity to have dinner in groups of 8 with SEABA alumni or Anderson students who have worked in Southeast Asia. These dinners are thematic and are organized by professional interest, industry and cuisine. This is a great way to expand social and professional networks and learn more about professional life as an Anderson graduate.
Southeast Asian Alumni Speaker Series
SEABA alumni and former students who have previously or are currently working in Southeast Asia are invited to share their insights on their Anderson and professional experiences. Students get a chance to ask questions about different paths of success at Anderson and network in an inclusive, welcoming environment.
