“Honestly, the best way to ensure that you have a great Anderson Reunion is to help plan it by participating on the Reunion Committee. It’s a modest time commitment, and a great way to give yourself a reason to re-connect with old classmates in the months leading up to Reunion, and encourage them to attend. Having a well rounded Reunion Committee that reaches into all of the different social groups of your class is hugely important, and lots of fun to navigate and be a part of. I highly recommend it.”

“I volunteer on every reunion committee and have led the last two committees as class president. My time on the committees is an incredible journey of reconnecting with friends, organizing memorable events during reunion weekend, and reliving old stories that no one outside your class will understand. “I thoroughly enjoyed being on my reunion class committee and serving as Co-Class President. We had a fantastic committee and staff supporting us, and it reminded me of the collaboration and camaraderie that I experienced when I was a business school student! I joined the committee because I benefited so much in being at UCLA. As Chair of Bank Night, I invited the new CEO at Bank of America to speak at our event and it led to my getting a position in the large corporate market and becoming a Managing Director. There is truly no better business school culture than UCLA Anderson!”

“I joined my reunion committee initially because I thought it would be a nice way for me to give back to my alma mater, as I was very fond of my time at UCLA. It turned out that I was the one to gain so much from the experience! It gave me the opportunity to connect with people I had not talked to in years (some not since graduation), even after our reunion weekend. If you enjoyed your time at Anderson and the people in your class, I highly recommend volunteering for your reunion. It was a lot of fun and well worth the time!!”

“I joined the reunion committee because I was excited to get the MBA Class of 2018 back together again. Our five years since graduation felt more like ten, with the pandemic in the middle. Being on the committee gave me the opportunity to reach out to many of my classmates personally and reconnect, even with some who couldn't make it out for the reunion. It also made me feel reconnected with the school and gave me some insights into what's currently going on at Anderson.”

“I was excited about my upcoming 20th year reunion and regretted that I had not stayed as connected with many of my friends as I would have liked since graduating. I thought engaging as a class volunteer would be a perfect way to reconnect with classmates and set a goal to bring as many of us back together for a magical and fun reunion weekend, which we accomplished! Reaching out was fun and it was great to speak/zoom with many friends, even if they weren’t able to attend.  Additionally, the UCLA reunion team provided excellent help and support to the class volunteers in the months leading up to reunion, with clear communication, resources, insights, best practices and encouragement.
